Dover Terror Arrests

Two German men have been charged with terrorism offences after being arrested at Dover Port earlier this month.

Twenty-eight year old Christian David Erkart Heinz Emde, and Robert Baum, 23, were held by officers from the South East Counter Terrorism Unit (Sectu) at the port on July 15.

They are accused of collecting or possessing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism contrary to section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Both men have appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court this morning. They have been remanded in custody until August 24th when they are expected to be committed for trial
