Huge Fire At Farm

More than 50 firefighters have spent the night tackling a major fire at a farm near Tonbridge.

An exclusion zone is still in place around Horsmondon Farm in Brick Kiln Lane because the building contains potentially dangerous acetylene cylinders.

Crews were called to the blaze at 7.30pm on Wednesday night and at its height 55 firefighters, eight appliances, a water unit and a support units were called in the tackle the flames.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said the fire had broken out in a farm building containing timber, vehicles and acetylene cylinders. No one was hurt.

The incident was scaled down at about 10pm but road closures remained in place through this morning while firefighters continued to cool cylinders

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
