Kent Hit by Torrential Rain

4 cms of rain fell overnight

A severe weather warning was in place for Kent overnight as torrential rain and gale force winds battered the county.

The Highways Agency is warning that driving conditions are pretty hazardous.

The A249 at Keycol Hill's been closed because of flooding (see the clean up operation below)

But Kent's fire crews say they've had a quiet night - although that could change as people wake up to some flooding.
