Larkfield: Officer Injured In Hit and Run
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an on-duty policeman was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Kent.
The suspect, 27, from Rochester, was held after a gold Volkswagen Golf collided with the constable as he carried out a routine vehicle stop in Larkfield.
The unnamed Tonbridge-based Pc was taken to a London hospital following the crash in London Road at about 6.45pm yesterday.
His condition was described as serious but stable. The suspect was detained after voluntarily attending Maidstone police station at 1.15pm today.
A Kent Police spokeswoman said officers were asking witnesses to the crash to call them on 01634 884010.
