Maidstone: Four Charged Over Murder

The latest from Police investigation the murder of a 20 year old in Maidstone on Sunday night.

Four men have appeared before court, charged with the murder of an Italian man in Maidstone.

Aleksandras Zuravliovas, 26 years old, of Beaumont Road, Maidstone; Tomas Gelezinis, 30 years-old, of Lower Stone Street, Maidstone; Saulius Tamoliunas, 23 years-old, of Union Street, Maidstone; and Linas Zidonis, 21 years-old of no fixed abode were all charged with the murder of 20 year-old Joele Leotta.

They were also charged with grievous bodily harm in connection with an assault on a second victim.

Appearing at Medway Magistrates' Court on 24 October, the four men were remanded in custody. They will appear before Maidstone Crown Court on 28 October via a video link.

10 people have been arrested in connection with the investigation. The victim, an Italian student died in Kings College Hospital in London after being found with injuries in Lower Stone Street in Maidstone at 11.20pm on Sunday.
