Ramsgate: CCTV Images Released After Man Assaulted

Officers are investigating after a man was reportedly assaulted three times in one night.

The victim had been out in Ramsgate during the evening of Thursday 20 November.

At about 1am on 21 November he attended the Royal Public House in Harbour Parade, Ramsgate where he said he tried to calm a woman down who was shouting, during which he said she punched him on the face.

He then went inside the pub where he was involved in an altercation and claims he was again punched in the face.

A short while later the victim says he was again punched in the face.  This time describing the man that carried out the assault as white, dressed in a dark coloured coat with a hood, white collar underneath, dark clothing and dark trainers with white soles.

The victim, a 19-year-old man from Margate needed hospital treatment for a broken jaw.

Detective Constable Vanessa Law said: “We know that there was an aggressive altercation between the victim and a large group with lots of on-lookers, so there would have been lots of witnesses.

“The victim was also seen to be waving his belt around while shirtless.

“We would urge anyone to come forward so that we can piece together the sequence of events.”
