Reward To Find Kent Man's Killer

The parents of a former teacher from Sittingbourne who was found dead on an island in the Indian Ocean have put up a £10,000 reward for help to catch his killer.

33 year old Carl Davies' body was discovered in a ravine on Reunion Island in November last year, two days after he had arrived there to start a new job as a security consultant.

His parents Andy and Maria from Hollingbourne, near Maidstone, were initially told he had died after falling down a 30ft cliff, but police later informed them their son had also been beaten and stabbed.

Now they have put up the reward for information leading to a conviction, in the hope that it will encourage someone to come forward with information.

They have also recorded a video appeal which has been posted on to YouTube and will be given to authorities investigating his death on the island. In it Maria says: "I plead with you as an island, if you know anything that happened to Carl or know anyone that was involved in that please help us."

"When my son died, part of me died and I can't comprehend my life without him in it so please if you can help us, please do that. If you have got information, please come forward."
