Reward Offered After Kent Woman Assaulted

A £5000 reward is being offered after a Tunbridge Wells woman was seriously sexually assaulted in Hastings.

Police have also released this CCTV picture of a man they think could hold key information in relation to the incident.

It happened on Sunday 11th April as the 18 year-old from Kent walked along an alleyway by St Leonards Warrior Square railway station off Kings Road in Hastings at around 4am.

Following the attack a man was seen running from the scene along London Road and possibly into Silchester Road.

The victim, who had spent a night out with friends, is back home in Tunbridge Wells with her family and is recovering from the incident.

Detective Chief Inspector Simon Jones, senior investigating officer, said:

"Our enquiries to establish exactly what took place are continuing and I urge anyone with information that could help our investigation to come forward.

“The man captured in the CCTV footage was seen walking alongside the victim shortly before she was attacked. If you recognise the man, or are the man himself, we would like you to come forward and talk to us as we believe he could hold vital information in relation to the incident.
