Rochester Cocaine Seizure
Three men have been arrested after police seized cocaine with a street value of around £50million in Rochester.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Central Task Force found 150kilos of the drug, during a raid on an address in the town yesterday, as part of an investigation into organised crime networks involved in the supply of class A drugs.
The three suspects, aged 40, 44 and 45 are being held on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, and are in custody at a south London police station.
Detective Inspector Colin Stephenson of the Central Task Force said: "My team continues to form alliances with other agencies to tackle the supply and availability of drugs in London and the Home Counties.
"This arrest and seizure has disrupted a significant supply of cocaine into London and will reinforce the message that the Met will continue to combat the criminal networks engaged in drug trafficking and prevent a large amount of cocaine flooding the streets this Christmas.''
