Sittingbourne Gas Leak Suspicious

Police are treating a gas leak in Sittingbourne as suspicious

Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue and EDF Energy were called at 12.30pm to reports of a gas leak at a derelict building in Burley Road.

A 100 metre cordon was put in place and residents were asked to avoid the area.

The cordon has now been lifted (as of 3.15pm) but the leak is being treated as suspicious and crime scene investigators are on site.
