Teynham: Tribute To Motorcyclist

The family of a motorcyclist who died in a collision in Teynham on 31 October has paid tribute to a 'happy and cheerful' man.

Craig Huggett, 31, of Minster, died when his Suzuki bike came into collision with an Audi A4 in Lower Road at 4.38pm.

Mr Huggett's family has released the following statement: 'Craig, our beloved son and brother.

'Our Craig was one of the most hard-working boys you could find. He loved his little younger brothers Dan and James dearly, and they were all so close.

'He loved life and was always so happy and cheerful.

'Craig's friends' children would call him Uncle 'Ginge', they absolutely adored him. He was like a big kid when he was around them - they loved him.

'He was the boy that could walk into a room and light it up with his cheeky smile.

'Motorbikes were Craig's thing. He loved them and had done from an early age - he was six years old when he rode his first motorbike.

'He has always been close to his family, his cousins and their four children. He loved his girlfriend of seven years, Chelsey, dearly, and also his pet lizard Kizzy.

'Craig, our son, we will miss you terribly and you will never ever be forgotten. Always in our hearts. Dear Craig, sleep tight angel.'

Officers from the Kent Police serious collision investigation unit are now appealing for anyone with any information, or who saw either vehicle in the moments prior to the collision to make contact.
