Weather Stops Balloon Record Attempt
Bad weather stops 75 hot air balloons trying to cross the Channel
75 hot air balloons are planning to make a trip together across the Channel in a world record attempt aimed at raising money for charity.
They were planning to leave today (1st October) but have not been able to due to bad weather.
When the weather is good enough - the balloons will leave from Lydden Hill Race Circuit before heading across Canterbury, Dover and then the Channel.
The record attempt coincides with the 50th anniversary of the first modern balloon flight.
