Project SOS - How It Helped
You voted for your favourite community project in Kent - now see how Project SOS helped the winner, Pent Valley Technology College Sensory Garden.
Being involved in a big project can be hard work, especially when you're relying on the help of volunteers and have a limited (if any) budget! And we knew that you'd love it if a team of experts were ready to pick up tools and give a helping hand for free!
That’s exactly what construction expert Skanska offered with Project SOS Kent – giving one lucky project the chance to benefit from its world class expertise, time and skills. The Skanska team were looking to give a helping hand to a great Kent project you voted in your droves to make it a reality for one project.
That project was the Pent Valley Technology College's Sensory Garden.
They needed help to turn their tired and dilapidated outdoor space into a reflective sensory garden for their students and the community to enjoy, including those with a visual or physical impairment and specific learning needs.
