Taylor Swift's Hobbit Sword

Taylor Swift. Ed Sheeran. A Hobbit Sword. Need we say more? Yes? Ok.

You know Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift have been having a bit of a thing, right? Well, they have, and you need to know that bit first.

Secondly, Ed Sheeran is a big fan of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy and the new Hobbit film. In honour of this, director Peter Jackson gave Ed a prop from the films - the actual sword used by Bilbo and Frodo Baggins (the hobbits - go watch the films if you haven't seen them)!

The flame-haired guitar-wealder took the prized prop on a plane when on tour with Taylor Swift, and placed it on the table in front of them. As you do.

Unfortunately, he didn't account for the mystic ancient power of gravity.

When the plane took off, it tilted back and the sword went flying off the table towards Taylor, coming dangerously close to impaling her!

It would make for an interesting twist on Taylor's next breakup song, eh?
