The Oscar-winning director of Slumdog Millionaire has been put in charge of staging the opening ceremony at the 2012 Olympics.
Danny Boyle has called the job seriously daunting.
He'll be joined on the team by another director, Stephen Daldry, who was behind Billy Elliot, and will be involved in the opening and closing ceremonies.
Organisers of the London Olympics say they won't try to compete with the spectacle seen in Beijing two years ago.
