Police are trying to trace a couple who attacked a young mother on a crowded bus in London in a row over prams.

The 23-year-old victim was assaulted after moving her buggy out of the way to let the couple share the pram bay on the 83 bus from Hendon Central to Ealing Hospital.

When she tried to move her buggy back she was spat on, thrown off the bus and knocked to the ground.

The victim suffered a cut to the ear and bruising to the head.

Sergeant Brad Crossley, Metropolitan Police Service, Barnet borough said: "The bus was very crowded at the time of this attack, and we are appealing for any of those people on the bus to come to us with further information."
