A man has been left in a life threatening condition following a hit and run in Cannonbury

Met Police say the 27 year old man was dragged along by a car and left with life-threatening injuries on Essex Road, in Islington at 01.54hrs on Sunday, 17 November.

They were called to reports of a collision between a black Vauxhall Zafira and a male pedestrian who is now being treated in an east London hospital. The male driver of the car did not stop at the scene.

A 57-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene.
