Charge Goes Up For Dartford River Crossing

Motorists using the Dartford river crossing face a 33 per cent increase in charges.

The road over the Thames Estuary is used by 140 million drivers every year, who will now have to pay at least £2 for each journey.

The rise in how much it costs is being described as 'unacceptable'.

The AA says increasing the toll by 33 per cent is unfair when there's no other way of crossing the Thames on the M25.
