City Crash Cyclist Dies

A cyclist's died in hospital after she was hurt in a crash with a lorry on Ludgate Hill in The City.

Police were called to the area at 11.30am on Friday 17 October 2014 to reports of a crash at the junction of Farringdon Street.

The 26 year old woman cyclist was taken to hospital.  She died at the Royal London Hospital on Monday 20 October with her family at her bedside.

She is the tenth cyclist to die on London's roads in 2014.

Detectives from the City of London Police are investigating. The family asked for privacy to come to terms with their loss.

Police say the driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and was not arrested. They have asked any witnesses to contact them on 0207 601 2222.
