Police believe a woman found dead in Barnet was involved in an argument with a driver before her death.
The victim, in her 30s, was found dead on East Barnet Road at around 6:30pm yesterday (Monday).
The woman had suffered head injuries, but she was confirmed dead at the scene.
Police are awaiting formal identification and her next of kin have been told.
A post-mortem examination will be held tomorrow (Wednesday).
According to Metropolitan Police, it is believed she was a driver involved in a dispute with another woman driver.
She left her vehicle and an incident occurred during which she was injured.
Early inquiries by Police indicate that she was carried on the bonnet of the other car and fell from the bonnet and was in collision with a Belisha beacon.
The vehicle drove away.
A woman from Barnet has since been arrested in connection with the investigation.
She was taken to a north west London police station and was subsequently released on bail, and is due to report back to Police in April.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has information that may assist the investigation, to contact the incident room on 020 8247 7821 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
