There are worries about the safety of a new mum after what's thought to be a human placenta was found in south London.
Met Police are concerned she could have given birth without medical help.
It was discovered by someone walking their dog near Tooting Bec Athletics Track on Saturday morning.
The item has been taken for pathological examination.
Anyone who can assist police is asked to call on 101.
