Five people are in court today charged with murder after a London man's body was found on the beach.
Gary Pocock, 34, was discovered just before 6am on August 7, when officers were called to Warden Bay Road, Leysdown, between Little Groves caravan site and the Isle of Sheppey Holiday Village, Kent, police said.
The five people who have been charged are Christopher James Bones, 20, from Dagenham, Jamie West, 19, from Warden on the Isle of Sheppey, Matthew Terry, 20 and Mark Terry, 44, both from Ilford, and a 15-year-old, also from Warden on the Isle of Sheppey, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
All are appearing at Maidstone Magistrates' Court in Chatham, Kent.
A post-mortem examination found that Mr Pocock, 34, of Dagenham, died of significant head injuries, police said.
