A primary school headteacher's salary has been called "outrageous" by a union.

Mark Elms received a remuneration package totalling over 270 thousand pounds last year, including employers' pension contributions, for his leadership of Tidemill Primary School in south-east London.

That's according to the GMB Union.

Another head earned a twenty thousand pound pay rise to take her salary up to more than a hundred and ninety eight thousand pounds.
