Investment bank JP Morgan says it's deeply saddened to have lost a member of its family - after an employee died falling from its building in Canary Wharf this morning.

39-year-old Gabriel Magee was an technology expert who'd worked there since 2004.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 25 Bank Street shortly after 8am on Tuesday 28th January.

He was found on the roof of the ninth floor and police have confirmed that his death is not being treated as suspicious.

The building in London's financial district has been the headquarters of the bank's Europe, Middle East and Africa operation since July 2012, according to the company's website.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 8.04am to Bank Street to reports of a person fallen from a height.

"We sent one ambulance crew, a duty officer, our hazardous area response team and London Air Ambulance to the scene.

"Sadly, a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene."
