Mother And Daughter Shot In North London
Detectives are appealing for information following a shooting which left a 11-year-old girl and her mother injured.
Police were called at approximately 21:40hrs on Sunday 20 January to Chelsea Crescent, St Cuthberts Road, Cricklewood, following reports of shots fired at a residential address.
Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. Two females were discovered suffering from gunshot injuries and taken to a central London hospital.
In a statement, police said:
A 48-year-old woman suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and leg and her daughter, an 11-year-old girl suffered a gunshot wound to her foot. Their conditions are not described as life-threatening.
Four other adults were in the house at the time and they were not injured. All parties were known to each other.
Two black males were seen running away from the property at the time.
The Trident Gang Crime Command is investigating.
Enquiries continue and there has been no arrests so far.
Detective Inspector Glenn Butler as appealed for witnesses to come forward.
He said:
"This incident occurred in a residential area, which may have lead to a number of people seeing what occurred.
"If you saw anything unusual within Chelsea Crescent and the surrounding roads, then please contact the incident room. The motive for this incident remains unclear but I am keeping an open mind as to all possibilities."
