Winners of a competition to design a 50p coin for the London 2012 Olympics have seen their creations become common currency today.
Their designs, from nearly 30,000 entries in the Royal Mint's competition, reflect 29 Olympic and Paralympic sports.
A series of images will be on the flipside of the 50 pence pieces and include swimming, boxing, gymnastics, boccia and goalball.
