Some of the UK's most famous royal palaces are to get a green refurbishment, with thousands of square metres of loft insulation installed to save on energy bills.

Hampton Court Palace, the home of Henry 8th, will be the main focus of the scheme to improve the energy efficiency of three historic royal palaces.

Work will also be carried out at the Tower of London and Kensington Palace.

It's expected to save 130 thousand pounds from the palaces' gas bills.
