Cleaners at Waterloo station are to stage two 24-hour strikes later this month.

Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union working for Interserve will walk out from 3pm on November 17 and 21.

The union said it was in dispute with the company over a series of issues including employment rights, pay and claims of victimisation.

RMT general secretary Mick Cash said: "The appalling treatment of cleaners at the busy and iconic Waterloo Station is nothing short of a disgrace and has led to a complete breakdown in industrial relations."
