The stunning coast and spectacular scenery of the Garden Route make this journey a memorable experience. Visit beautiful beaches, the magnificent landscapes of the Little Karoo with its fruit farms and vineyards and the Cape Peninsula, historically known as 'The Gateway to Africa'.

Great introduction to South Africa, including Cape Town and the Winelands

Your adventure begins in Cape Town and you take some time to explore this beautiful city and visit its highlights, including the penguin colony at Boulders Beach and the Cape of Good Hope. You then head out into the wine regions of Stellenbosch for wine tasting and spend the night in Franschoek, known as the 'gastronomic capital' of South Africa.

As you head down the Garden Route coast you pass breathtaking scenery, lovely beaches and pristine forest of the Tsitsikamma National Park, which can be explored. The coastal town of Hermanus offers excellent whale watching (in season) and a chance to relax.

Depart London.
Day 2
Start Cape Town; optional afternoon cable car trip up Table Mountain.
Day 3
Full day tour around Cape Peninsula visiting Cape Point Nature Reserve. Optional visit to the resident penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Day 4
To Franschhoek via Stellenbosch; optional afternoon of wine tasting.
Day 5
Drive to Outshoorn taking the Franschhoek pass through stunning mountain scenery.
Day 6
Optional visits to the Cango Caves and an Ostrich Farm.
Day 7
To Knysna; after lunch visit the Kynsna Heads and an optional trip to an oyster farm.

To Storms River Mouth in Tsitsikamma N.P.; walks in the coastal forest reserve.
