Billie Piper smokes in front of her son

The actress was smoking next to her son Winston sparking controversy.

A photograph of the 27-year-old actress has surfaced on the internet, showing her smoking a roll-up in close proximity to her son Winston.

The actress, married to fellow thespian Laurence Fox, managed to give up smoking when she was pregnant, but has started smoking again following her son's birth.

Piper has sparked controversy for smoking too close to her child, increasing the risk of him breathing in toxins and chemicals. She's also been criticized for giving little Winston a bad example by being seen puffing away.

However the former Doctor Who star was smoking outdoors and not in an enclosed space, where the risks of passive smoking would be greater.
