Campaigners push to launch register of safe botox practitioners

A register of reputable Botox practitioners is launched today, after complaints that many of those who administer Botox don't have the necessary qualifications or training.

Dr Andrew Vallance-Owen has launched the Treatment You Can Trust Website after it came to light that many practitioners who offer the muscle-freezing injections have not had the appropriate training or work from an sub-standard environment that often doesn't have clean enough and sterile facilities.

There are 156 approved clinics on the list at the moment, with another 113 awaiting approval.
