Selfridges in London is launching their Christmas shop today, earlier than ever before.
145 days before Yule to be precise. The shop has a "Play" theme this year and is selling paint your own baubles, pre-lit and make your own trees, fairy lights, "play" Christmas crackers, wreaths and life size donkeys. Plus, the piece de resistance, a 14 foot Christmas tree by Black Box Trees, specialists in artificial trees, garland and wreaths.
Last year Selfridges opened the Christmas shop on the 8th of August and sold more than a thousand baubles in the first week of trading. This year they've decided to open a week early to make the most of the summer's tourism.
The Christmas shop is also available online at www.selfridges.com.
