Clooney confirmed for Gravity

George Clooney will join Sandra Bullock in sci-fi film

Warner Bros have confirmed that George Clooney will be starring in sci-fi drama Gravity alongside Oscar winner Sandra Bullock.

Gravity, a film about the commander of a space station who tries to go back to earth after his team is decimated by an asteroid, will be directed by Alfonso Cuaron, of Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban fame.

Clooney will replace Robert Downey Jr, who was previously attached to the project.

Production on the film will start in Spring 2011.
