Elton to attend royal wedding

The singer admits he's been invited to wedding of the year.

It was during an interview with Canadian TV programme The Marylin Davis Show that John accidentally let slip he has indeed received an invitation to Prince William and Kate Middleton wedding.

The musician tried to deny it at first, but then added "I've been trying to be discreet, yeah, we got an invitation".

He went on to praise Middleton for handling the pressure of having a royal boyfriend, saying "She is very discreet, she is a very beautiful girl"

He also said that he hopes William will become king sooner rather than later as "...we need young people like him to lead. I think he will be a tremendous king – not that Charles won't, but I think William will be tremendous.'
