Arterton confirmed for Hansel and Gretel role

The actress has landed part in classic tale with a twist

English actress Gemma Arterton has been confirmed to star in "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" based on the classic children fairy tale.
The film will have an action twist however. It will see Hansel and Gretel as grown-up bounty hunters.

Several actresses were considered for the part of Gretel, including Diane Kruger and Noomi Rapace.
The film will be directed by little known Norwegian Tommy Wirkola.
