George Michael splashes out on luxury home in Australia

The singer has reportedly spent £3.9 million on a five bedroom house in the peninsula of Whale Beach, an hour from Sydney.

Michael is said to having fallen in love with Australia when he performed at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Festival last March.

The ex Wham! singer has been living in the exclusive Hampstead area of London and the his new Australian pad is thought to be a holiday home, not a permanent residence.
