Squeaky clean 25 year old actress Rooney Mara has gone through an amazing tranformation to become The Girl With The Dragoon Tattoo.

"The Social Network" actress has had to have her hair cut and dyed black and has had to lose a little bit of weight to play goth Lisbeth Salander.

The image is on the cover of W magazine.

The US remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is set to be released in the UK on Boxing Day 2011.
