Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star announced

Little known actress has bagged the role of Lisbeth Salander

Rooney Mara, a relatively unknown American actress, has bagged the coveted role of Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

The 25 year old, younger sister of Entourage and 24 actress Kate Mara, has beaten several actresses to the role, including Natalie Portman, Carey Mulligan and Kristen Stewart. She will star opposite British heartthrob Daniel Craig. 

Mara has been acting for five years and has had roles in ER and Youth In Revolt with Michael Cera.
