Gossip Girl becomes Material Girl

Taylor Momsen has been unveiled as the face of Material Girl - the clothing line Madonna's designed with her daughter Lourdes.

Madonna's been photographing the 16 year old Gossip Girl star with her own 13 year old daughter watching on.

The Material Girl line will debut in Macy’s stores in the US next month and includes clothing, footwear and accessories.

Gossip Girl star Momsen, 16, has signed up as a face of the brand aimed at young girls.

The collection includes clothing, footwear, handbags, jewellery and other accessories.

Earlier this year Madonna described Lourdes as a driving force of the project. "Since I have a few careers going, I decided that I wasn’t going to get into designing this line by myself. Lola seemed the perfect choice. She is really doing most of the work. She shows me things and I go "that’s cool" or "that’s not cool".
