Bardem up for James Bond role

Oscar nominee Javier Bardem has reportedly been offered a role in the next James Bond film.

The Spanish actor is said to be playing a villain opposite Daniel Craig's Bond.

Bardem has been enjoying a particularly positive period.

The 41-year-old has just received an Academy Award nomination for his film "Biutiful" and his wife, Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, gave birth to their first child, a son, last week.
