Liz Taylor sets record straight

Rumours have been rife that Angelina Jolie and Catherine Zeta Jones are battling to play Elizabeth Taylor in a movie about her life. But who do you think should play her?

Elizabeth Taylor has taken to Twitter to set the record straight about who should play her in a biopic about her relationship with Richard Burton. 

She tweeted “Hold your horses world. I’ve been hearing all kinds of rumours about someone being cast to play me in a film about Richard and myself.”.  “No one is going to play Elizabeth Taylor, but Elizabeth Taylor herself.” 

She added “Not at least until I’m dead, and at the moment I’m having too much fun being alive… and I plan on staying that way. Happiness to all,”

At a premiere of 'Salt' earlier in the week Angelina Jolie said she had never heard about the rumour of her playing the Hollywood legend and said “I don’t think that anybody could be better than Elizabeth Taylor.”
