James Cameron has revealed the sequel to Avatar will not be released until 2014.
In an interview the director admitted it could be up to four years before audiences see the next instalment in the sci-fi trilogy.
The Titanic director recently revealed that he plans to film the second and third films together.
Cameron began writing Avatar in 1994 - it's the highest grossing film of all time.
