Phil Collins back with new album

The British musician will release new cover album in September

The 59-year-old has been working on a new album, Going Back, which will feature classic Motown and Soul covers, including songs by The Supremes, Dusty Springfield, Stevie Wonders, The Ronettes and The Temptations.

Collins has enlisted the help of three members of Motown band The Funk Brothers as he wanted the songs to keep their 60s sound, instead of "modernizing" them.

The first single from the album will be a cover of 1963 song (Love is Like A) Heatwave by Martha and The Vendellas.

Going Back will be Collins' first studio album since 2002 Testify and is slated for release in September.

The legendary musician has had great success in his career, both as a solo artist and with his band Genesis.
