Shameless star in hit and run accident

Elliott Tittensor runs over teenager

The actor who plays Carl Gallagher in TV show Shameless is accused of running over an 18 year old and not stopping the car deliberately.

Tittensor was driving his BMW in Kentish Town, north London, when he hit passer-by Oliver Flint. It is claimed that the star drove off without stopping. Flint is still in hospital and is said to be in a serious but stable condition.

Tittensor was in the car with his girlfriend, Skins star Kaya Scodelario and the pair were making a 2 AM trip to a nearby fast food restaurant.

After the accident the actor did however turn himself in at a nearby police station later. Allegedly he'd not been drinking.

The Shameless star took to his Twitter to say that reports of the accidents have been exaggerated and asking his fans not to believe all they read in the press.
