U2 play Russia

U2 are due to play their first ever gig in Russia today.

Yesterday Bono met President Dmitry Medvedev - who's a rock music fan and loves bands like Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin -

The singer took the chance to ask for Russia's help in fighting AIDS through his 'Red' campaign. It raises money through partnerships with firms like Nike, Microsoft, Apple and Starbucks.
