With a top class director already in place and Daniel Craig still being tipped as the front-runner to play journalist Mikael Blomkvist, the major role of Lisbeth Salander is still up for grabs in the English remake of the popular Swedish novel.
'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' is set for release in December 2011 so director David Fincher is busy casting for the role of tough girl Lisbeth. Hot Hollywood actress like Kristen Stewart, Carey Mulligan and Mia Wasikowska have been rumoured to be interested in the role. But its some the up-and-comming stars like Aussie Emily Browning, Rooney Mara and Sophie Lowe that are being hottly tipped to take the part.
The movie which is based on Stieg Larsson's best-selling Millennium Trilogy, has already been adapted for the screen in Sweden and it looks like David Fincher doesn't intend to Americanise his version apparently asking for the actresses to work on their Swedish accents.
But who do you think could play the role? Vote now!
