Willow Smith signs record deal with Jay Z
Will Smith's daughter is set for music career after signing record deal at the age of 9.
She may only be a little girl, but Willow Smith has very clear ideas of where she's heading to. The 9 year old has just signed a record deal with Roc Nation, Jay Z's record label.
During a radio interview with American presenter and producer Ryan Seacrest, Willow discussed her upcoming single, Whip My Hair.
She said the song is about being true to oneself, something that her mum, actress Jada Pinkett, has taught her.
Jay Z called the show during the interview and told Seacrest how impressed he is with Willow's musical talent and maturity.
Willow is following in the footsteps of his older brother, Jaden, who's carving himself an acting and singing career. The 12 year old has already starred in The Karate Kid and in The Pursuit Of Happiness with his dad Will. Jaden has also recorded a song with Justin Bieber.
