Child Knocked Down In Sunderland

A 3 year old child's been knocked down by a car in Sunderland.
It happened at 5pm on Tuesday, April 29th on Premier Road.
The child was taken to hospital suffering cuts and bruises.
Initial reports show a car collided with the child as the child walked out between parked cars.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene, however, left before police arrived.
Officers are keen to speak to the driver to establish what happened and would urge the driver - believed to be a man driving a black car - to get in contact.
