The Met Office is warning us to expect more snow showers today and tomorrow.
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place until 11am tomorrow morning.
Snow amounts will be very variable but its expected to be around 15 cm on high ground.
Strong and gusty winds will lead to drifting and blizzard conditions at times, especially over higher routes.
In County Durham the A68 High street in Tow Law is closed due to the snow between B6297 Wolsingham Road and A692 Consett Road / Church Street
Meanwhile in Northumberland the A68 is closed in both directions to high sided vehicles at A69 / B6529 Stagshaw Road.

The public are warned to be prepared for travel disruption and hazardous driving conditions.
The rest of the North East (Darlington, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, Redcar and Cleveland, South Tyneside, Stockton-on-Tees, Sunderland) are being warned of less significant snow fall.
