A new report has highlighted how a decision on where to build new airport capacity in the south-east will actually have an impact on business on Teesside.
Leading economists have calculated that a regular service between Durham Tees Valley and a new UK hub airport would provide a £220 million boost to the Teesside economy every year and create more than 2,000 new jobs.
It comes as the Airports Commission considers which option for airport expansion in the south east to recommend.
